Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, I have now called Northern California home for over 25 years. I moved to UC Davis after high school and graduated in 2000 with a degree in biological sciences. I went on to receive my medical degree from UCSF in 2004. I then returned to the Sacramento area to complete my anesthesiology residency at UC Davis Health and have been here ever since. After a brief time at Mercy Hospital Folsom, I joined an amazing group at Kaiser South Sacramento Medical Center in 2010 and hope to spend the entirety of my career there.
I joined the HPA Advisory Board simply because UC Davis has given me so much and I feel compelled to give something back. My years at UCD created some of my fondest memories and closest friendships, and provided me with the educational foundation that allowed me to succeed in everything that came after. If I can do my part to provide a gift like this to the next generation, I wholeheartedly welcome the opportunity!
