High School Pre-Health Symposium
UC Davis Health Professions Advising, UC Davis Health School of Medicine Office of Medical Pathways and AvenueM are proud to bring back High School Pre-Health Symposium! The High School Pre-Health Symposium will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the University of California, Davis. This year, the symposium will host up to 400 attendees. This is a unique opportunity for high school students to explore and learn about the many health professions available and what they can do now as high school students to prepare for a career in healthcare. Attendees will be able to meet and speak with various health professionals, health professions advisors, undergraduate pre-health students, and other high school students all with a passion for pre-health.

2027 High School Pre-Health Symposium Interest Form
Space is limited to 400 high school students and 50 parents/guardians. There will be no registration at the door. We encourage you to register early. Tickets are non-refundable after March 6th, 2026.

- What is the schedule of the day at High School Symposium?

- Who is eligible to attend the Symposium?
- High School Pre-Health Symposium is open to all high school students, faculty, advisors, counselors, and parents.
- What is the dress code for the event?
- Attendees are encouraged to dress in business casual attire. Please dress prepared for weather and some walking between workshop rooms.
- Is food provided at the symposium?
- Yes, registered attendees will receive a light breakfast and boxed lunch. Dietary restricted options will be available in limited quantities.
- Can parents attend the event?
- Yes, parents are welcome to attend the event but must register in advance. There will be workshops specifically for parents.
- What if I require special accommodations?
- If you need any special accommodations during the symposium, please contact [email protected] by Friday, March 6, 2026 with your request for special accommodations. Every effort is made to accommodate all needs but cannot be guaranteed. Requests submitted after the deadline may not be able to be accommodated.
- Will you be offering campus tours?
- No, if you would like a campus tour, please contact UC Davis Visitor Services.
Registration FAQs
- Is there a registration fee?
- There is a $25 registration fee for students and a $50 registration fee for Parents/Guardians/Counselors. Registration fee includes the following:
- Access to student and parent workshops
- Access to interactive activities
- Lunch
- Symposium Water Bottle - Required Youth Protection Forms for Registration
Per policy of the UC Davis Youth Protection Services, parents/guardians of minors must complete the following forms and submit during registration for a minor to be able to participate in the event:

Click on “Download” at the top right corner of the page. ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. Students cannot participate if the forms above are not completed.
OPTIONAL: If the minor has a medical problem or is taking medication that would be important for us to be aware of, please fill out the Additional Information for Special Conditions form.

- Yes, please email [email protected] to attend as a group.
- Can I register the day of the symposium?
- No on-site registration will be available. You must register through the registration page by February 28th, 2025. All participants will be required to wear a name tag to enter symposium events.
- I registered, but I am no longer able to attend. Can I receive a refund?
- Partial registration refunds can be given until March 6th, 2026. No refunds will be given after this date. All refund requests must be submitted via email.
- I am having issues registering. Who should I contact?

- Is there a fee waiver avaliable?
- Unfortunately, there are no fee waivers available for High School Pre-Health Symposium.
Workshop FAQs
- Where can I find the workshop topics and schedule?
- The workshop schedule and descriptions will be available closer to the event.
- What should I do if a workshop I want to attend is full?
- Unfortunately, space is limited and workshops are on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please look over the workshop schedule and have a backup workshop in mind.
- Will there be any workshops for parents?
- Yes, please look at the schedule for indications for parent-specific workshops.
- How does interactive workshops work?
- Interactive workshop tickets will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. Students can claim be one interactive ticket at the time of check-in which they can use to access one interactive session during the day. Due to space limitations all students will be limited to attending one interactive workshop and parents cannot be accommodated.
Parking and Directions FAQs
- Where do I park for the event?
Attendees are able to park in Hutchinson Parking Structure and Parking Lot 40.
Please note that disabled placards and plates are not valid in restricted spaces (such as 1 hour A permit spaces), loading zones, red zones, center core and reserved areas. Disabled individuals should keep their disabled person's identification with them at all times.

From Sacramento
- -Take Exit 70 off of Interstate 80 West towards Woodland
- -Take Exit 27 towards UC Davis
- -Merge onto Hutchison Drive
- -Follow Hutchison Drive to Dairy Road
- -Turn Left into the Hutchinson Parking Structure.
From San Francisco- -Keep right at the fork to continue on CA-113 North, follow signs for Woodland
- -Merge onto Hutchison Drive

From Northern California
- -Take Interstate 5 South
- -Take CA-113 South to Exit 27 towards Hutchison Drive
