App Prep Program: Approaching and Writing the Disadvantaged Statement

Most health professional schools allow you to write a disadvantaged statement where you can include social, economic, and/or educational disadvantages. This is an opportunity to provide context to your story and show your ability to overcome barriers. An advisor will discuss what self identifying as a disadvantaged applicant and how to go about writing this essay.
