Bio

I am a Northern California native, growing up initially in Sacramento. My family then moved to San Francisco where I attended Lowell HS. I graduated with honors in Biological Sciences from UC Davis in 1994.

From 1994-96, I conducted cardiac research at UCSF, before advancing to medical school at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. I returned to California for my residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at University of California, Irvine.

After completing my fellowship, I had the opportunity to study advanced cardiac imaging, as well as cardiac CT and MRI at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, CA. My family moved back to the Bay Area where I joined one of the largest cardiology groups in Northern California that is now part of Stanford Healthcare/University Medical Partners.

I am honored to be on the HPA Advisory Board. My incredible experience at UC Davis has driven me to contribute to my alma mater. I know first-hand the critical role of the HPA in advising and preparing students in their future healthcare profession goals. I look forward to working with all of you.
