I jumped at the opportunity to serve on the HPA Advisory Board. I graduated from UC Davis in 1990 with a BS in Biological Sciences before going on to University of the Pacific School of Dentistry(now Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry), earning my DDS degree in 1994. I opened a solo practice in Walnut Creek in 1996, where I continue to enjoy treating my patients.
I learned everything about getting into dental school from my involvement with the Pre-Dental Health Club while at Davis. I enjoyed the level of peer advising and became an active participant in its events.
From knowing what classes to take to how to study for the DAT, the Pre-Dental Health Club was a crucial source of knowledge for me going forward. I eventually became president of the Pre-Dental Health Club and a tutor for the DAT. I am happy to hear that pre-health advising at Davis has grown to what it is today and am honored to serve on the Advisory Board.
