Are you nervous about talking to and approaching professors? Not sure who you should ask for letters and how? Join an HPA advisor on 5/12 from 5-6pm at 198 Young Hall to learn all about letters of recommendation, including finding letter writers, building/maintaining relationships, and collecting letters.

Asking for LORs can feel scary to many applicants, as it puts part of their application in the hands of someone else. However this is an opportunity for medical schools to hear from another person about the applicant and having strong letters is an important step in the process.

That being said, being a student at a large research institution can make building relationships with faculty even more challenging. Hear from esteemed faculty at UC Davis to learn about Dos and Don'ts when building relationships and asking for letters of recommendation. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions on their experiences working with students and navigating this process.
