FYAC: First Year Aggie Connections

healthandhumanitiesseminar

An Aggie Connection is a group of first-year students grouped together based on similar interests, led by a facilitator and a peer mentor. The group meets weekly to discuss strategies for success during the first year and beyond. Aggie Connections are meant to be fun, relaxed ways to connect students and leaders over events and conversations.

Winter 2017 Pre-Health Aggie Connections

For the Winter 2017 quarter, Health Professions Advising will be facilitating a FYAC in the form of a two-unit P/NP seminar that first-year freshman students can enroll in.

Pre-Health First-Year Aggie Connections will 1.) provide an introduction to life as a pre-health student at UC Davis, 2.) guide cohort members during the start of their path towards a pre-health professional school (or introduce cohort to various health professions), 3.) serve as a learning environment for students to have their questions answered, have discussions regarding the application process and ethical issues faced by health professionals of all fields, form a network support of advisors and other pre-health students, which will allow them to be prepared for coming years as a pre-health student. This is a place for cohort members to ask ANY and ALL questions regarding college and being pre-health.
